In June, YorkCliConnect’s founding team (Abi, Sophia, Lynda & Maddie, with funding from YESI) brought around 60 people, including representatives of dozens of organisations in our city, together for our first event, aiming to grow and strengthen the networks for climate and nature education and action in York. At this event we, made connections, discussed and shared our favourite resources (now available on this website via the Resources tab, and started to build a directory of local organisations via York Resilience Web. Following on from this in July we ran four community workshops based on the Climate Fresk and Biodiversity Collage concepts, a training event to equip participants to spread these educational tools more widely, and two socials.
Thanks to the support of Tipping Point UK we now have this website and a mailing list to help us stay connected, grow this community and what we it can achieve in our city and beyond.
